Do I need to make an account?

No. You don't need to sign up or download anything, and you don't need a school code. Just fill in a short form and you're done.

Will the other person see what I wrote?

No. Neither of you sees the other's words. You only see a calm, neutral summary at the end, and only after you've both submitted.

What if the other person doesn't reply?

We'll send them a gentle reminder after 72 hours. If they still don't respond within 5 days, the case closes and you'll see a message letting you know. You can also try again, sometimes it takes more than one go.

What if I change my mind?

You can close the case at any time. Nobody is forced to take part, and the suggested next steps at the end are just suggestions.

Is what I write private?

Yes. Only the technology that creates the neutral summary reads it. If our safety checks flag a serious concern, the case is paused and you'll be given clear guidance to trusted adults and support services like Childline.

What happens if something serious is mentioned?

Every submission is checked for safety concerns, bullying, self-harm, abuse, anything serious. If anything is flagged, the case is paused immediately and you'll be shown clear guidance to trusted adults and support services so a real person can help. (A dedicated school version with direct DSL notifications is coming soon.)

Why do you ask for my email?

So we can send you your case updates and, if something serious is flagged, share guidance to support services directly with you. Your email is never shown to the other teen.

What if I'm not safe right now?

Please tell a trusted adult immediately. You can also call Childline on 0800 1111 (free, 24/7) or visit childline.org.uk. If you are in immediate danger, call 999.

What data do you collect?

Only what's needed to make mediation work safely: a first name or nickname, a school email, your school code, and what you write in the form. No surnames. No photos. No social media.
